Editorial Standards & Corrections

World Arch Journal is an independent architecture publication. Its briefing distinguishes verified source information, analysis and visual interpretation.

What we publish

News analysis explains the significance of dated, attributed announcements; it is not presented as first-hand reporting unless the work includes direct reporting. Field notes and visual explainers are labelled separately. Publication dates describe the page, not the date of an event being discussed.

Sources and verification

We prefer primary documents and identify the organisation behind each material claim. A single press release is attributed as that organisation’s statement, not independently established fact. We seek independent corroboration for disputed, consequential or technical claims. RSS and other publications are discovery tools, not text to republish.

Analysis and AI assistance

Source claims, our interpretation and uncertainty are kept distinct. AI may assist research organisation, drafting or graphic preparation, but generated output is not evidence. Future issues require an editorial check of factual claims, originality, source links, language, image provenance and page metadata before release. A publishing target never overrides verification.

Images and rights

Every published image needs a known origin: original, commissioned, owner-supplied with permission or appropriately licensed. Conceptual or AI-generated illustrations are labelled and must not be passed off as photographs or accurate depictions of named projects. Third-party project photography is not copied by default.

Corrections and updates

Readers can report a factual error or rights concern using the editorial contact below. A material correction will be dated and explained on the affected page; the original publication date remains visible. Minor spelling or formatting edits may be made without a correction note. If a claim cannot be verified, we will qualify or remove it.

Commercial independence

Advertising, affiliate relationships and paid partnerships must be clearly labelled. Payment does not buy favourable editorial coverage. Ad placement must remain distinguishable from article text and navigation. No advertising is embedded in newsletter email.
