Sir John Soane’s Museum confirms Moussavi as this year’s recipient, recognising her contribution across practice, teaching and writing. The medal is not an award for one building. 02 / A new programme director for New York’s Architectural League

The Architectural League of New York announced Marianela D’Aprile as its new programme director in a press release dated 28 September 2026. 03 / Oslo’s Triennale puts circular materials in the spotlight

Source published:

A new Architectural Record report, published on 28 September, examines the ninth Oslo Architecture Triennale. The festival itself began on 17 September and continues through 1 October 2026. Its nature-first theme brings material experimentation into focus, including wool-based cladding, leftover stone and steel reclaimed from maritime structures. This is fresh reporting on an ongoing event—not a claim that the festival opened yesterday.

One question to take into your practice

The connection between these stories is not a shared aesthetic. It is the infrastructure around architecture: the ideas that travel through teaching, the institutions that convene debate and the systems that let materials be used again. Before adopting a headline as a design direction, ask what evidence would turn that idea into a responsible decision on your project.
