01 / Luxembourg's 2027 pavilion questions the consumption of living space
Source published:
ArchDaily reported on 30 September that the selected proposal for Luxembourg's pavilion at the 2027 Venice Architecture Biennale is Excess! On the Overconsumption of Living Space. The curators are Bùi Quý Sơn, Paul-Antoine Lucas and Céline Zimmer. A 29 September announcement hosted by e-flux for the pavilion confirms the selection and describes an inquiry into unequal use and distribution of living space. The exhibition is planned for 8 May–21 November 2027; it has not opened yet.

02 / LACMA revisits the homes that were supposed to be our future
Source published:
Designboom published a report on 30 September about Home of the Future, 1925–1985: Designing Domestic Utopias at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. LACMA's own exhibition page dates the show from 27 September 2026 to 14 March 2027 in its Resnick Pavilion. Through models, drawings, photographs, films and household objects, the exhibition examines how visions of the American home were imagined and sold, and asks who was excluded from those visions. The show opened on 27 September; 30 September is the date of the cited report, not the opening.

03 / Archtober puts a building tour on the public calendar
Source published:
Archinect published its 2026 Building of the Day tour roundup on 30 September. The Center for Architecture's Archtober programme lists the New Museum in New York as a Building of the Day on 1 October, with a tour of OMA New York's expansion alongside the existing SANAA building. The official listing provides the event details and notes wheelchair access. Archtober runs through October; the roundup's publication date should not be confused with a tour date.

The editor's question: access to what, and for whom?
These are different kinds of evidence: a pavilion proposal, a museum exhibition and a public programme. None establishes a building's environmental performance or social impact by itself. Together, they invite a precise question about how architecture allocates space, describes desirable futures and welcomes people into the buildings that shape their cities.
